Small Update

First I want everyone to know that as lonely as I've been, life has been happy! I'm no longer stressed about Mya. I will tell you why: I gave up! :) haha, I put her back in diapers and told her when she's ready to let me know. She still pees on the toilet, now I'm waiting for her to tell me she wants to poop on the toilet. All I care about is my relationship with her and since I've stopped putting so much stress on her and me we've been a lot happier and have been getting along much better. She's now the sweet little girl I used to know!
Vince has been hard at work and it has finally paid off! He got a raise and that takes off a bunch of stress off us! I'm so proud of him! Last night we had made little block hats with Mya's foam puzzle. We put them over our heads like a space helmet! We couldn't stop laughing! Vince couldn't get his off because his head is so big :)

Mya has been wanting to be a ballerina for some time now and her reward for becoming fully potty trained is to take ballet classes. I took a video of her dancing! I hope this works!

Lonely Out Here

Once again, it's been quite some time since I've posted anything. I haven't been in the best of moods lately. I've been homesick way bad and was rather jealous my husband was able to go visit home without me. :) Happy he could be there for his friend, sad I couldn't be there for mine.
Nothing exciting has happened since we moved in the apartment, still the same routine. Mya has been very cranky and I must admit I have been angry too :)
We're still working on the potty training and I'm proud to say that Mya has finally started pooping in the toilet! It's a very long and hard process, but she's getting better on going more often so if it takes us an hour of playing "the dinosaurs are coming!" I'll do it everyday rather than have my little one hurt and cry when she won't go for a whole week. Mya and I have a deal going on that if she goes five times with no accidents then we'll go and buy her a Rapunzel doll. She tells everyone, even strangers! We're on number four right now, but she's putting up a big fight for this last one :( Wish I could push a button and make her go.
We haven't seen much of Vince since he's gotten back. He's been hard at work. I must say as much as he stresses me out, I am very proud of him :) He's a good man and a good dad, couldn't ask for better if you want my opinion. ;) Still wonder to this day how he came to the conclusion that I was the one for him, beats me, but beyond glad! Yes, I had to boast for a minute on what an awesome, cool husband I have!
Mya's birthday is coming up and we're expecting Vince's little sis Amanda to come see us! Yay! We're looking forward to seeing her! Anyone else who wants to visit, please do! I'd love to show off where we live but most of all I'd love the company! haha
Nothing else to report, just living everyday the same pretty much. I'll try to get out more so I have something to post about :) I have taken some pictures on the projects Mya and I have been doing, I'll have to post them when I have my camera around me the same time I'm playing on the computer (which is rare)

Wonderful Friends

 

Mya has made a new friend, her name is Lore and she absolutely loves her! Of course it helps that Lore's mother is pretty cool too, so it's a win win! :)  These girls are so cute to watch play!

Our New Home

This is our new home, at least for another year it is. It's so nice to be out and on our own! I haven't hung any pictures up yet, but I will. Mya loves the new apartment and is so excited when we're heading there. She says "Mya goes to her new home!" Super cute! Vince and I love it to and enjoy our nice quiet evenings watching Top Gear together.

She has a giant closet that I'm super jealous of! Her and her friend Lore love to play in it! It's the perfect play house for the girls :)

This is Mya's bathroom, giant just like her closet. :) She gets excited when she needs to go pee because she can do it all by herself. Turn the light on and climb on her step stool. She can even wash her own hands!

 Mine and Vince's bedroom. It's much bigger than the one we had before and it's bare because we don't have much furniture! :) Our closets are much tinier than Mya's and we wish they were bigger, but we're still so excited to have our own place that we don't care!

Our bathroom is perfect because it's only mine and Vince's, no one else! Can you tell I'm excited?!?!

I'm Back! (Sorta)

I'll give you all a quick quick update since it's been a few months!

Vince and I found a little puppy wandering around our house, so we took him in and are in the process of finding his family, but around here lots of people drive out here and drop off their dogs and leave, never to be seen again. We don't know what we're gonna do with the little if we can't find him a family. :(

Mya is being potty trained and is almost done!! I can't believe it! Today, when I asked her if she were dry she sighed, rolled her eyes and said, "Mya doesn't pee in her panties anymore, mom." I was expecting her to put her hands on her hips, but I guess she isn't that princessy yet! I am so proud of her, she's my little angel!

Vince has been working really hard, but also finds time to spend with me and Mya! There are some big decisions we're going to have to be making soon, like where we're going to live in a couple of months and when we're going to be heading back to Idaho. I really want to get settled, so I say we come back in October. Vince says he wants more adventure and it's really hard for me to say "No, we should do this" because he loves his job and it's important to me that he likes what he does. At the same time it's really hard to say "ok, hun, we'll do what you want to do" :) I want to be back close to family and friends and get a house and then a puppy and then have another baby!

Me? I've been super baby hungry, I've talked to Vince, but he wants to hold off for a little bit longer. I just feel that it's the right time to start at least trying, but hey, it'll happen when it does. :) I've also been spending a lot of time with crafts! I want a house with a large extra room so I can make my own craft room!

I Love My Family

This post continues, but it will be mostly pictures and more about family and the fun time we had. :) After the graduation, we went onto the field to get pictures, it was fun, but rushed.

As we waited we went to the National Infantry Museum. One word to describe it: Fantastic! We spent about 4 hours there and I didn't even get to see all I wanted! Vince was a wonderful sport and didn't complain at all (love that guy) He knows how much I love history, so he just followed me around being the parent to Mya while I ran around going "Oh, my gosh! Oh my gosh!" to everything. I could go on and on about that museum, but I wont, I'll just put up a couple of pictures of it and tell you that I had a blast at that place!

 I would like to share one story, at the museum they have a simulator marksman, I got to shoot a gun I have no idea what kind it was, but it was super heavy! I have always told Vince that I am a great shot, but we have never gone out shooting so I haven't been able prove it him I wasn't lying. Anyway,  I held up that gun and the shooting began! I was hitting target after target, and then before I knew it, the game was over and our scores were brought up. My Dad had 5/20, my Uncle Clark had 12/20, Jarom had 18/20 and I had a whoppin 17/20! Yes, I out shot 2 grown men who have gone hunting every year for however many years! I have to point out that I am kinda a big deal. :)

 Onto the rest of the weekend: We had gotten hotel rooms instead of staying in those cabins, I'm not exactly sure why, but I'm very glad we did, cuz it was fun at the hotel! Mike taught us a game, I can't remember what it was exactly but the object of the game was to be the last person with your fingers up. (Sounds, weird but it is so fun to play) We then played a couple round of wacky 6, love that game!


People then started comparing feet and pretty soon Uncle Clark and Jarom were up on the table showing us their deformed feet! Hahaha, it was so fun to sit around laughing with my family, I have missed them so much!

The weekend came to and end way too fast and before I knew it we were saying our goodbyes and heading in our different directions. :( I love my family so much and December will be here before we know it and we'll be able to once more sit around telling stories, playing games, laughing and having the perfect time.

I want to add that we're going to be going on the cruise before we come out to Idaho, and we'll be spending time with Vince's family and what a wonderful blessing it is to have them in my life too, they are a wonderful family and I can't wait to see them as well! (I didn't want to leave anyone out :))

I'm proud to be an American...

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America..."
When was the last time you said the pledge of allegiance? Thursday morning, as we were driving, I asked Vince if he could recite the pledge. Neither of us could remember the full pledge even though we used to say it every day for 8 years. It finally got to the point to where I had to look on my phone and it only took one glance to remember it. Now let me ask, how often do you think of America and the many men that have served her, both past and present? I mean really take a moment and reflect?
I have to admit I didn't really give much deep thought to it. I love to study history, and it was neat and I felt blessed, but I never sat down and thought of what the men and their families went through and still go through today. I had the opportunity to attend the most patriotic event I have ever been to. It opened my eyes and  made me think "wow, these men are simply amazing." I can think of nothing else to describe it.

It opened up with the army band playing some songs, both patriotic and not. Then all of a sudden you heard gun fire and the sound of bombs, then you saw smoke across the field purple and green. In the midst of the smoke came out 10 men. Armed and moving toward you in a formation that meant to kill. Then they stopped pacing and stayed crouched where they were, not moving. After a few minutes of wondering what was going to happen next, the men jumped up and sprinted towards you. Let me tell you, it was awesome and intimidating. When the men reached the end of the field they stood in line and a voice over the speaker began to described what each man's duty was and what weapons they had.
After the little lesson, the graduation started. The men graduating were standing tall, straight, and in uniform. The way they marched onto that field was awe inspiring. They moved as one, being one.

I've never understood how a group so big could move together in synchronization not ever messing up. Still don't quite understand how. The graduation was pretty fast, there was a few words and then they cited the Infantry creed, which if none of you have ever heard it, I suggest you go look it up.
It starts with:

I am the Infantry
I am my country's strength in war,
her deterrent in peace.
I am the heart of the fight
wherever, whenever.

And it ends with:

I forsake not my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty.
I am relentless
I am always there, now and forever
I am the Infantry
Follow me!

After the words were said, the men marched in a big circle, they marched in front of the crowd and then back to position, and that was it. The graduation was over. We were then let onto the field to congratulate our soldier before they were off to enroll in Airborne. I'll finish this up so it's not so long and I'll continue on with a different post. I mainly wanted this post to be about our military and the special effort they put in to serve not only our country, but us as individuals. With Veteran's day just passing, I think it proper to say thank you to all who have served and continue to serve us. A special thanks to my brother for making the decision to join. He, who left his wife and family behind for a very long few months, is serving you.
