heat+water=SWIMMING

We're getting ready for another swim trip!! It's awesome to have a pool right close so that when it's a very hot day you can get out and take a dip in the pool.

Here we are going out to swim. As you might notice, I'm wearing make up. I was trying to look nice that day and Vince suggests we get out to the pool. Well, I don't want to get my make up all ruined so I couldn't dunk my head. Stinky! It was fun though!

Vince doesn't look too happy out there, neither does Mya. But just you wait, they will have a totally different attitude as the time progresses on.

Mya mostly wanted to stay out of the water and play with her tubie. She kept trying to throw it on Vince and sometimes she succeeded:

She would throw it on him and then try getting in the water all carfully. Vince had to make sure she didn't fall in!! Don't worry, we don't let Mya just run up and down the side of the pool unless one of us are in the pool going along with her and one is out of the pool to go along the other side of her.

She isn't running like the picture looks like it makes her. She is actually walking. She holds her hands up like that to keep her balance. As I was saying before, we let Mya wander around, but we are close by. I want her to experience new things and that sometimes means letting  her venture out of our arms and on her own. She's a very careful thing, so I'm not too worried about the trouble she could get into, but I still have to keep in mind that she is still a baby!

Well, I eventually got into the pool and me and Mya had the time of our lives!! I took her out of her floatie and held her like she should be swimming and told her to kick her legs as fast as she could and splash her arms, to my surprise she did what I asked! She was kicking and a kicking. Just has hard as she could and splashing her arms and she just had the biggest smile on her face! We chased Daddy everywhere in that pool! I think Mya is going to be a little good swimmer!

It's just an average day

Nothing new has happened so far, just the same old stuff and doing that same old thing. Now, before I continue on with my little story with Mya today, I would like to let every one of my readers know that I ran 3 miles today! Count them, 1.2.3!!! Not all at once though, I wish. I first ran a mile and half, took a break and did some weights, then I got back on the tredmill, very reluctantly I might add, and did another mile. After I finished that mile I was so beat, but I went back to lift weights and for the 3rd time I returned to the tredmill only to run half a mile. Thank goodness it was only half a mile! I almost didn't make it! The air was hot in that gym and my legs were weak. BUT I made it. I finished the last half mile and called it quits for the weekend!

After that little show, I would like to let everyone know what Mya likes to do during the day: She'll first get her little baby to go along with her, then she makes her way into the kitchen.

She then usually will open all the cupboards and somtimes crawl into them. (this is from a different day, but she does it almost everyday, if I don't catch her in time)

She then makes her way out of the kitchen and towards the bedroom. Which she then loves to open and close the door and giggling while doing it.

Open and closed, over and over again.

After she has gotten her fix of opening and closing doors, she moves to the dresser. And there she pulls out all of her clothes and scatters them across the floor.

This will happen everyday, just before her afternoon nap. I have to chase her out of the room and then chase her around the house, which she finds so fun! She giggles the whole time! I love my little girl! She is so much fun and I'm glad I have her here with me this summer to keep me entertained. She's such a cute thing!

Mya's new car

So today me and Mya went out splurged a little and we bought her a new car! She loves to play in it and loves the color as well! I think we spent about 1 hour straight playing in that car. The whole time she was in it she had a cheesy grin on her face. I love these pictures!

Doesn't Mya just have such a cheesy smile. She makes this smile almost everytime you pull out a camera and say "smile Mya!"

Mya hasn't gotten any more teeth, just the 5 she's had for awhile, and when she smiles, she likes to show off all 5 of her teeth. Usaully it's the bottom 2 that stick out more!

Vroom Vroom went the car as Mya zoomed on by! Everyone watch out for Mya out on the road, she's a crazy driver and doesn't care about what she runs into!!! Man I love my little girl!

River Trip

We were very unprepared for this river trip, but it was fun all the same. We couldn't really do anything since we didn't have our bathing suits on or sunscreen for Mya. But we did get our feet in and it was sure cold! I could barely get in past my ankles! And Daneile was going almost all the way up to her knees! We didn't stay long, but I still managed to some pictures!

Vince had to give Mya his shirt. We dipped it in the river and then put it on her so she wouldn't get too hot and so the sun wouldn't get at her. As you can see, no one is in very deep.

I was trying to get Mya to smile at me and everytime she would smile and I would go to take the picture, I would miss her smile. She just looks so tired and when we got back, she slept for a long time!

It was a short trip, but it was nice to get out of the apartment and enjoy the very hot day. Did I mention it was VERY hot? It was 104 yesterday. I got a nice sun burn to prove it!

Here we are one morning, Mya just woke up and look at that crazy hair!!!

Just an update

Alright, it's been awhile. (only a couple days) But still, I need to update all my readers!! I believe there is only 4 of them, but I still need to let those 4 people know whats going on here! Vince has been working only a little bit right now. They only have 3 people here selling until the end of the month. It's kind of good because Vince is still training so it gives him time to learn for when all the big stuff hits and he has to be out all day. But he's still getting out and making some money for us. I'm very proud of him, he is such a trooper!

The only thing is, is that his A/C stopped working in his car and it's already in the 100s!!! It's going to be a rough summer if it doesn't kick back on. At least we have A/C in the house! I would die if we didn't.

Mya had a fever for the last 2 days. The poor girl slept pretty much all day and I had to get her up to make sure she drank a lot of fluids. She woke up today feeling good and has been doing good ever since. Her fever broke and she's been up and awake. A little tired, but acting normal again. Well that is all the has happened this week. I'll be taking pictures of our swim trip tomorrow and post them on here. I'm hoping to get some more sun to help my tan along!

Oh! I almost forgot! Proud moment for me! I've been working out 5 days a week since I've gotten here! I can now run a mile at the beginning of my work out and a mile at the end. It's hard work, but I'm trying to be able to run 5 miles by the end of the summer. Wish me luck!

OUCH!

Alright I have a little story of our little Mya. She was playing around Vince who was by the coffee table. As she was trying to step over a pillow, she lost her grip on the couch and went crashing down on the coffee table leg. I saw it coming, but couldn't stop it in time. I watched as her poor little head bounced off the leg.

Vince and I both jumped up, he got to her first since he was already by her and I ran to get some ice, her bottle, and some medicine to stop the pain. The poor girl was crying so hard and tears were streaming down her face. When I saw her where she bumped her head, I wanted to cry! She didn't look so great and it scared me that maybe she hit her head a little too hard and something might be wrong. So I real fast took a picture of it and sent it to my mom with "What do I do? I don't know what to do!" She immediately called me back and told me to put ice on it and just to make sure her eyes weren't dilated and to make sure she was acting normal. Well it was her nap and I didn't want to put her down to sleep just in case she really did hit her head a little too hard, so we kept her up. She acted normal and actually started to play with Vince. She was cooing and growling so I figured she was fine. Here are some pictures of the gruesome fall:

The pictures don't do it justice, it looked far worse! This morning the bump was gone and all that is left is a purple bruise. She was a tough girl, but I just hope that doesn't happen again! Too scary!

Swimming

The weather here has been wonderful! It's been warm enough to go swimming, but not too hot to overwhelm us! (Not yet at least ) :) Well, the water was a little chilly and so we couldn't stay in too long, but this day was so much fun! I love the little bathing suit we found Mya. It was only $10 too!

Mya hasn't gotten too used to the water yet, she's liking a little more everytime we go. She just started to growl and make little noises on our last visit to the pool. Now, don't mind the lady standing behind Mya, she has very pale skin that seems to repell the sun, you have to look past that and just see how bored Mya looks.

After we were done swimming, Mya just wanted to play with her stroller, which entertains her for almost an hour!!

Now this next picture is of Mya in her bathing suit. I took this picture because my Mom wanted a picture of her in her swimming suit, just so she could see the suit. So here she is in her bathing suit. Not very happy, but dang cute!

Mya's walking!

I can't seem to load my video, dumb. But I would just like everyone to know that our little baby girl is walking!!! She only fell hard once. She was headed straight for the coffee table and sure enough she didn't quite make it and hit her face on the table. Don't worry, there was no blood or broken teeth, I can't say that the table was left with out a scratch. On the end where her teeth hit you'll be able to see little teeth mark like she tried to take a bite out of the coffee table!! Other than that little incident, I'd say she didn't have any other problems learning to walk! I'll see what I can do about the video, but as for now you just have the story! :)

Time to boast

I want to take a minute and tell everyone 10 things I love about about Vince and 10 things I love about Mya. This might be boring to you, but I will proceed anyway. If you don't want to read, feel free to skip right over it.

Vince:

1. You take very good care of me and Mya. And you make sure we have the things we need

2. You make me feel safe

3. I love how you take care of me when I'm sick

4. You are very handsome!

5. You are a lot of fun to be around

6. You make me feel beautiful and I love when you compliment me

7. I love how you can calm me down when I'm stressed

8. You care about the things I like, even though you act like you don't

9. When I'm sad you know how to make me smile

10. You go along with my ideas, even though you know they are crazy! (most of the time)

Now for Mya!

Mya:

1. You are the prettiest angel I've ever seen

2. You have the sweetest personality

3. You have a very cute smile that could win anyone over

4. You behave so well that I don't know what I did to deserve you! :)

5. You miss me when I'm gone

6. You give the sweetest kisses

7. You let me play with your hair!

8. I love how you sleep the whole night through since you were 2 weeks old!

9. I love how you pucker up your lips and go "hmmm"

10. I love how you growl anytime, anywhere and for no apparentt reason!

I love my life and I'm very thankful for all the people who have made it that way. I love Mom and Dad, Holly and Sheldon, Mike and Lindsay, Shelynn and Michael, Daneile and Chris, and Amanda! Not to forget my two favorite people in the whole entire world! Vince and Mya!!

Ok, I'm done bragging. I had to get it out of my system because sometimes when you are blessed you can't just keep it all inside all the time!!! :)

Just another busy day...

Yesterday was a fun relaxing day, although we didn't get out to go swimming, we still got to go do some fun things. We went for a walk and Mya walked a lot of the way just holding onto my hand. She can walk, I just think she doesn't know she can. It's all in her head that keeps her back. Anyway, apart from working out in the morning (yes, I've been doing very well with that. 4 days in a row!!!) Mya and I played catch with her big Ariel ball.

The cool thing is, is that she actually caught it!! She was really playing catch with me! Haha, she probably had no idea what she was doing, but she was doing it very well! We then had a little photo shoot and I tried to get a good picture of the both of us, but it was hard!

That is the best one that I could do, either she wouldn't look or I had a retarded face! As the day progressed, so did Mya's activities! I was doing my hair for the day and Mya followed me into the bathroom, just take a look at the mess she left me!

After I rolled back up the toilet paper (it took me forever) We went over to Daneile's apartment to just hang out and get out of the house for a little bit. When we left, Mya wanted to take Twinkie for a walk, and that she did! It was so cute to watch her.

Mya had a long day and was very exhausted, but she was a trooper and did a very good job today. I'm hoping to take her out today for a swim and let her have fun in the water, she loves water.

Mya's new favorite drink if Orange Juice. She loves to just sit there and drink it. Since yesterday wore her out so much, I gave her a little treat (the orange juice) and let her relax. I didn't know she was going to be falling asleep! What a cute little girl! I'll be sure to post some pictures of her swimming, if we can go. I'm so glad I started this blog! It's made me appreciate all that I have and I"m so thankful for everyone that has helped make my life a happy one!

Sunday Night

Sunday we all got together and ate lasagna (which I cooked, good for me!) while it was cooking, Mya was entertaining herself very well, we had to snap a couple pictures of her! She pulled out all her toys and was playing in the container for them. She played in that thing for a good hour and a half.

After we had dinner, we played games, or should I say one game. Chris and Daneile bought the monopoly card game. We were all confused at first, but got the hang of it soon enough. Vince, Chris, and I have to gang up on Daneile because, for some unknown reason, she smokes us all and wins the game in just a few turns!

During the card game, Daneile and brought a pudding pie and we decided to get Mya in her diaper and let her have her own little pie. I have to say she didn't get much in her mouth, but had a fun time smearing it all over the kitchen floor and all over herself!

Afterward, Mya went for a little twirl given by her Aunt Neile! (Not a very good idea, but she held everything down just fine)

CALIFORNIA!

Since we've been here, it's all felt like a dream! I wake up and look out the window and see such a beautiful place! We haven't gone out to do a lot of things yet, because we have to hang around the apartments waiting for Vince to get a phone call to go to work, but we'll get out and see more, therefor I'll have more pictures to post.

Mya has been a little grouchy, but I was expecting that. She's in a new unfamiliar place and has to get used to it. She's getting better, but cries when Vince or I leave the house.

Here is Mya exploring and trying to eat at the same time. I know, she has a funny face there! She loves to roam the apartment and she can without me having to worry about her getting into things or falling down the stairs. We do have to keep the bathroom door closed because the other day we heard some splashing and we went to go see what was going on and sure enough, we found Mya holding up the toilet seat and playing in the toilet water! It was cute and very nasty at the same time!

Mya loves that little doll, we took it out of her bath stuff so she could play with it in the living room and that is all she pretty much plays with. She likes to give her little baby kisses and giggles after she does!

Vince hates getting his picture taken! He rarely smiles. This was the first day and Mya was making a silly face and Vince was looking tired and bored. I'm trying to get more pictures of us and family, but he is very stubborn!

This was before church on Sunday, Mya looks so darn cute with her cool chick sunglasses on! The funny thing is, is that she really leaves them on when we're out in the sun!

California

We left at about 10:30 in the evening so that we could travel while Mya slept. I thought it was going to a pretty easy drive. Long, but easy. How very wrong I was. Mya slept great, she didn't wake up to anything really. Vince started out driving, it fun and exciting! We kept saying, I can't believe we're on our way! Well, we had just gotten past Twin Falls and I was already starting to get sleepy. I was trying to stay awake for Vince, but I was barely holding on.

The night continued like that for I don't know how long, but it felt like forever! I ended up falling aleep for about 20 minutes, that's when I heard Vince say "Oh No!" I looked up in time to see a shadow to our left and then we were sliding down the interstate sideways. Luckily Vince is a good driver and he gained control of the car and steared us in the right direction. Daneile and Chris were right behind us and thought that we had fallen asleep, but when they passed what made us swerve, they were shocked. Standing on the interstate were two huge cows! We pulled off on the next off ramp and we had to take a little breather. It was the scariest thing in my life! And guess what, Mya didn't even budge.

I took the wheel after that and continued on the drive. I was so scared and nervous, plus my eyes were all blury cause I can't see. I didn't drive for too long before Vince told me to pull over and he was going to drive. When we were about 20 miles away, it was raining so hard and we were in the mountains, so it was winding down and up, but we finally made it! I'm so glad we prayed before we left or else I believe we would have hit that cow and not survived, as scary as that is, I'm glad Heavenly Father was watching over us that night in that exact moment.
